Delete your account

You can delete your Plugd In account at any time in the app. It is immediate and permanent.

Delete it in the app

  1. Open Settings

    In Plugd In, tap You at the bottom of the screen, then the gear icon at the top of your profile.

  2. Find Delete account

    Scroll to the bottom of Settings and tap Delete account.

  3. Read what will happen

    The next message lists what is deleted and what stays. Tap Delete account to go on, or Keep my account to stop.

  4. Confirm

    On the last check, tap Delete permanently. Your account is removed straight away, you are signed out, and your @handle is released.

What deleting does

Deleted

  • Your account, sign-in and email address
  • Your profile, @handle, settings and date of birth
  • Your clips and posts, including the audio files themselves, and the comments and likes on them
  • Comments you wrote, and your likes, saves, follows, connections and blocks
  • Your collab applications, credits you claimed, and endorsements and awards you received
  • Your notifications, saved searches, usage events and press-kit counts

Stays, no longer linked to your account

  • Discussions you started and your replies, shown as @deleted
  • Messages you sent, which the other person still sees from "Deleted account"
  • Endorsements you wrote, awards you gave, and credits you confirmed or that name you, including the name the other person typed
  • Split sheets you are on, with the name you were listed under and your typed signature
  • Projects and events you created
  • Reports you filed, moderation records, beta feedback, and records of any Plus purchase

These stay because other people rely on them, or because we must keep them for safety, tax or accounting. The text in them stays as it was written. Copies in our database provider's backups are removed as those backups expire, within seven days.

Can't open the app?

If you cannot sign in, send us a request instead. This form only records your request; it does not delete anything. We will reply to the email address on the account to confirm it is you before we delete anything.
